This West Coast Contemporary home was designed to fuse modern aesthetics with high functionality and a clean, stunning style that allows the panoramic ocean views to remain the focus.
An airy, light space was achieved in the kitchen using an ultra-matte white finish on the upper cabinets, which allowed the striking fir beams and marble backsplash to shine. Flat-cut horizontal grain-matched walnut was used for the lower cabinets and island, providing a touch of warmth and grounding to the overall design. Interiors are bright, made from birch plywood with Baltic birch drawer boxes. Integrated handles maintain a sleek look, while a push latch system keeps the finishes uncluttered. Thomas Philips Woodworking worked seamlessly with various other trades to ensure an integrated aesthetic focusing on natural materials to bring the outside in.
